Training in the "Three Pillars Method"
Comprehensive Training in Attachment Therapy for Therapists
We also offer shorter workshops and courses at conferences or within the curriculum of the Milton Erickson Society
Our current comprehensive training consists of a 3.5-day seminar, including both foundational and advanced training. After the seminar, participants have the opportunity to join supervision calls and form study groups, connecting with the international community of “Integrative Attachment Therapy.” Additionally, there is an option to further deepen the seminar content through an online course. The training is designed in a "hybrid" format, allowing participants to integrate the method through continuous practice.

Workshop with David Elliott in Germany
Next Training: March 13-16, 2025
About the Training
This training is a comprehensive introduction to the principles and practices of the 'Three Pillars' of Integrative Attachment Therapy. Building upon an in-depth, accessible, and practical presentation and exploration of concepts of attachment, participants learn a state-of-the-art-and-science psychotherapeutic approach to resolving adult attachment insecurity. Emphasis is placed on learning and practice with each of the Three Pillars – enhancing collaborative relational skills, developing metacognitive abilities, and creating secure internal working models through embodied mental imagery (the Ideal Parent Figure method).
Format:
The training consists of a 3.5-day seminar at the Riederalp Seminar Center in Immenstadt in the Allgäu. It is conducted in English with live translation into German. Demonstrations will be conducted in English (by David Elliott) and in German (by Stefan Passvogel). Therefore, knowledge of German is not required, though German-speaking participants will have the opportunity to experience demonstrations in their native language.
Training Objectives:
-
Understand how the Three Pillars of Integrative Attachment Therapy enables deep and comprehensive relational work toward resolving insecure attachment in adults.
-
Enhance your collaborative skills and ways of being to strengthen clients' own collaborative abilities.
-

Core Values in Teaching
Unleashing People’s Potential

Diversity
We value a diversity of perspectives, life paths, and backgrounds. Every person is seen as an enrichment and should have equal opportunities.
Community
The training sessions at our institute are held in extended block events at a single location. Group community is important to us, as learning and well-being are enhanced in an environment where participants feel part of a supportive community.
Willingness to Experiment
Learning means jumping into the deep end and just giving it a try. Our exercises are not about doing something “right” but about creatively and playfully testing a new skill.
Respect
We strive to approach each participant with respect and curiosity. We create experiential spaces where everyone is free to be themselves and express their individuality.
Learning Through Experience
Psychological processes can only be truly internalized through personal experience. Therefore, the learning concept includes opportunities for self-exploration, both in group settings and in partner exercises.
